Teflon Hook Up Wire

Teflon wire is high temperature hook up wire with a teflon insulation. It's manufactured with silver-plated copper strands and has a temperature rating of 200°C. Type E is a standard PTFE Wire that we stock along with a Type EE 1000 Volt and both have a high temperature Teflon insulation. Teflon pricing has increased due to copper increases, silver increases and PTFE compound increases.

There are many types of lead wire that you can buy for different applications that might involve a temperature change, insulation change or even a voltage change. So you have to make sure you are being quoted the right type of wire for your specific job. The price depends on it because the insulation will be different for each type of hook up wire.

UL1015 wire is also tinned copper and very flexible, likewise to the other types of electronic hookup wire. If you need a less flexible wire you should see our THHN wire because it's specifically made to be less flexible. THHN is an electrical wire used in conduit so it's much easier to slide a stiff wire through than a flexible one that will probably get bunched up in the conduit.

You can also see our UL1007 wire if you only need a 300 volt wire with a smaller insulation thickness. They are equally as flexible and provide the same function with different voltage ratings.

Our Teflon wire is meant for applications that need a high temperature wire. Teflon is rated at 200°C and if that's not enough you can give us a call for some TGGT wire (250°C ) MGT hook up wire (450°C ).
